About Us

After many years operating a successful and growing consumer and industrial petroleum business, Charlie Foster added retail to the existing business, opening Foster’s Grill Store in 1980 to ensure his retirement wouldn’t be boring. The original store occupied a 10 X 20 space where Charlie sold and serviced the grills and equipment for his friends and neighbors.

The space, the store and the grilling business have changed tremendously over the last twenty-five plus years. Billy and Susan (Foster) Aaron, the third generation of Fosters now run the family business and the new showroom bears little resemblance to that original tiny space. A more robust operation is now in place, offering a large selection of top-of-the-line grills and accessories, specialty spices, recipe ideas and even cooking demos. What began as a hobby has grown into a flourishing stand alone business operation.

Foster’s Grill Store may have changed, but Charlie Foster’s vision has not. Foster’s foundation has always been exceptional customer service, friendly, knowledgeable staff and a commitment to earning your loyalty and your referral. That is as true today as it was on opening day.

Charlie always said, “the customer is always right” and while that saying often seems clichéd or dated, at Foster’s the sentiment still holds true. As a small specialty retailer, we take pride in our work and in our relationships with our customers.

Our Staff

Susan Aaron

Susan started working in the family business when she was 12 years old but left at 18 and went on to earn a Master’s Degree in Human Resources, She was fortunate to work for some great companies in her field while living in Atlanta and then New York City.

Although enjoying a successful career, when she heard that Charlie might sell the store she knew the family business was calling! Susan returned to her Gloucester roots to run the grill store, and purchased back previously leased Foster’s businesses so that the properties on Eastern Avenue are now run entirely by members of the Foster family.

Susan serves as President and Owner of Foster from Gloucester Inc. In Charlie’s footsteps, she is currently busy training the fourth generation of Fosters, Katy and Will Aaron.

Billy Aaron

Foster's welcomed; Sue’s husband, Billy Aaron to the store in 2006 as the lead salesperson. Billy is very passionate about grilling and on any given day you will probably find him outside smoking on The Big Green Egg or the Traeger Timberline 850. As Foster’s Grill Store continues to grow Billy goes further into the role as the face of Foster's Grill Store with live appearances on and off site.

Boots Parsons

Boots Parsons has been part of the Foster From Gloucester family since 1996. Boots’ claim to fame is his uncanny ability to locate ANYTHING. Whether it’s a piece needed to repair a grill or a heater or finding a specialty item for a customer, if it exists, Boots will find it. And if it can be fixed, Boots will fix it.

Dan Frost

In 2010 Dan became a part of the Foster’s family. During the week you will find Dan out front assisting customers and managing the Shell Gas Station portion of the Foster From Gloucester Business. On the weekends, Dan is on the show room floor helping customers pick out their perfect grill or attending events along side Billy.
